When my grandmother passed in 2006, she left
a little black book.
In it, she wrote down everything. Her medications and when she took them. Her doctors. Who got what, and the conditions that came with it. Exactly how she wanted her funeral to go.

My mom and her siblings didn't have to make a bunch of decisions. They followed her plan. And they spent that time mourning her.

Years later, my cousin passed away young with nothing written down. Planning his funeral nearly tore my family apart. Everyone argued about what he would have wanted. Nobody actually knew.

I've seen it both ways. I've seen families with life insurance, families without it, and families with a policy who didn't know if it would pay out. I've seen fish fries and GoFundMe pages cover funerals. I've seen people argue over the outfit, the obituary, and whether to bury or cremate.
That's why I made The Last Word
Clarissa
If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family know:

Who gets the final say on your funeral?

Where your life insurance policy is, and if it will actually pay?

Which bills are on autopay and which accounts to close?

What you want your obituary to say?

Whether you want to be buried or cremated?

How to get into your phone, your email, and your Facebook?

What medications you take, and when?

If you're not sure, your family isn't either. And they'll find out at the worst possible time.

Here's everything you get

The Last Word planner, 104 pages (print at home as many times as you need)

The Digital Vault Google Drive template and Vault Index sheet

Wallet cards and a fridge sheet for emergency responders

Want to leave more than a plan?

Your planner tells your family what to do. Legacy Letters tells them what they meant to you.

It's a 64-page guided journal with fill-in-the-blank letters and prompts for writing to your spouse, each of your children, your grandchildren, your parents, and your friends. It also has letters to open on the days you might miss: their wedding, their graduation, becoming a parent, and the hard days.

You'll see it as a checkbox at checkout for $17 (normally $27). It's only offered at this price on the checkout page.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Is this a will?
No. A will decides who inherits your things. This planner tells your family what you want and where to find everything. You need both, and the planner shows you how to get the legal pieces in place.
  • Is it a physical book?
It's a digital PDF you download and print at home or at any print shop. A printed version is coming soon.
  • How long does it take to fill out?
As long as you need. The Start Here page shows you the five sections to do first. Many people knock those out in a weekend and fill in the rest over time.
  • Is it safe to write all of this down?
Yes. The planner is designed so you write where things are kept, never the actual password or full account number.
  • I don't have a lot of money or property. Do I still need this?
Yes. This planner is mostly about information and wishes. Even a simple life comes with bills, accounts, a phone, and a funeral someone has to plan.
  • Can I buy one for my parents?
Yes. It's a great reason to sit down with a parent and fill it out together.
  • What's your refund policy?
Since this is a digital download and you have full access to the planner as soon as you place your order, all sales are final.
